Abington Cole + Ellery is currently conducting a class action investigation regarding a confirmed data security breach of SteinMart.com. The incident may have affected certain customers' payment card numbers and other information entered on SteinMart's website between December 28, 2017, and July 9, 2018.

A customer data breach notice from Stein Mart states that unauthorized code was added to Stein Mart.com's checkout page to collect certain customer information without authorization.

The unauthorized code may have captured the following types of information entered by customers on the Stein Mart website: name, address, email address, payment card number, expiration date, and card security code (CVV).
