TORONTO - Feb. 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Talented young performing arts students from across the GTA and Peterborough dazzled audiences with their show-stopping productions at their Performance Showcase this past weekend at the Toronto Centre for the Arts.

Preparation for this spectacular event began months ago for the talented students who participated. This performance proved to be a fantastic exercise in teaching children how to work together and flourish, both as a team, and individually.

The goal of the performance was to provide students of all ages with an opportunity to shine bright on a professional stage; not only helping them to expand their artistic horizons and further discover their talents, but to gain 'Creative Courage For Life'.

Principal Meredith Hawley says, "I'm exceptionally proud of each and every one of the 389 students and their performances. They have exceeded all expectations and the final performance was spine-tingling! This was set to be a thrilling event and it was an unforgettable experience for the students, their parents and the sold-out theatre." Meredith adds that "It was a magical day for all concerned, with the students gaining the wonderful experience of performing on the same stage as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The pupils put all their efforts into an astounding performance, which had everyone on their feet cheering. It shows just how beneficial the performing arts can be in giving children skills they can take forward with them throughout their lives."
