And The Award Goes To… Announcing The Winners Of The 2019 Mompreneur® Awards

TORONTO - March 4, 2019 - PRLog -- The seventh annual Mompreneur® awards have proven lucky for five business-women from across the country! The winners of the 2019 Mompreneur® of the Year Awards were announced on Saturday, March 2nd at the 7^th Annual National Mompreneurs® Conference and Awards in Toronto. This year, 28 finalists representing over 20 communities and 5 provinces from across Canada brought forth some of the most innovative, creative and productive businesses and non-profits—with an impressive combined gross revenue of $17-million last year alone, while employing thousands of people across the country

Over 1,250 women were nominated, and 152 entrants advanced; and after accumulating points based on support from over 20,000 public voters within one week, as well as impression ratings from a selection committee, the finalists were narrowed down to just 28 finalists in the five categories.

The finalists were evaluated by an expert panel of nine respected judges evaluating the finalists, including CEO of Ehm & Co., and publisher of the YMC Erica Ehm, Co-Founder of Mabel's Labels, Media Personality and Digital Influencer Julie Cole, and Tech-maven, Best-selling author and President of AmberMac Media, Amber MacArthur—all who undertook a rigorous review process to select their top picks in each category, which includes one main award, The Mompreneur® Award of Excellence with a top prize valued at over $30,000.

Mompreneurs® is thrilled to announce that Heba Ahmed Malki of Domilya Group Inc., from Milton, ON has been named Canada's Official Mompreneurs of the Year for 2019, and have been awarded the Mompreneur® Award of Excellence.

Mompreneurs® has expanded its awards to recognize and help provide support, funding and exposure in four other deserving business categories, each receiving a prize package of over $5,000. The four additional awards include: The Startup Award for promising start-ups who have been in business for under three years; The Momentum Award recognizing a service-based business that is either a non-profit or charity, or is a business that benefits the community at large; The Merit Award is for those whose businesses are consultant, franchisee or broker-based and The Distinction Award for exemplary service and leadership.
