Follow on Google News | A Royale Affair: Wee Tait To Plug Hospice Funding Gap With Masquerade BallWee Tait is planning a night of fun and fundraising, with a few moments of reflection, in order to raise £25,000 for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
By: Wee Tait The Glasgow-based events and décor business is throwing the Royale Masquerade Ball, which will take place on 26 October 2019 at Grand Central Hotel, to raise much-needed funds for the charity. The evening, hosted by the fabulous James Smith and Beverly Lyons, will consist of a sparkling drinks reception with appearances from Glamourgranann and The Hilarious Granny, a delicious four course meal, raffle, and auction. There will also be live performances from Robin Ashcroft, X Factor's Nicholas McDonald and Caitlyn Vanbeck, comedian Jamie Dalgliesh, DJ sets from DJ Morgan and Zander Nation, and more. Tickets are available to the general public from for £70 per person or £650 per table of 10. Wee Tait is relying on the generosity of local businesses to provide auction and raffle prizes, which it hopes will account for 50% of the fundraising target, with the remainder coming from sponsorship and ticket sales. There are a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities to suit different budgets available. Depending on the package, this may include having the company logo displayed on all advertising and at the event itself, adverts in the event programme, and complimentary tickets to the Ball. Michelle Estall-Summers, the owner/manager of Wee Tait, has first-hand experience of the incredible work the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice does. Michelle said, "I am honoured to be organising the Royale Masquerade Ball in aid of Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. This is one of the biggest challenges I have faced both personally and professionally as it could make such a massive difference to the lives of so many people. "The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice has already had such a positive impact on several members of my family, who have benefitted from the charity's services. This is just my way of saying thank you." To buy tickets for the Royale Masquerade Ball, please visit https://mailchi.mp/ Ends. NOTES TO EDITORS: Wee Tait Wee Tait is an events and décor business based in Glasgow. We started out as a delicatessen and cake shop in 2012, but over the past seven years, have expanded and are now a trusted name within the wedding and events industry. We transform venues into spectacular settings for a whole host of events, from birthday parties to weddings, and pride ourselves on our exclusive and bespoke pieces, including flower walls, backdrops, and multi-coloured LED Dancefloors. Last year, we helped organise the Starry Night Masquerade Ball, which raised more than £25,000 for the John O'Byrne Foundation. This foray into charity fundraisers inspired us to use our knowledge and experience to help plug the £3.1 million funding shortfall the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice faces every year. Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (Registered Scottish Charity No. SC012372) provides free person-centred and family-focused palliative care and support to the people of Glasgow and greater Glasgow. In day care and on the wards, they look after more than 1200 patients and families every year. Their palliative care provides support for the physical and emotional problems relating to a life-limiting illness for patients and those close to them. This is often at home, but could also be at an outpatient clinic, day unit, or as an inpatient. The cost of looking after patients and their families is £5 million a year, with £1.9 million coming from the NHS. In order to keep the doors open, and look after those who need care, the charity must fundraise the £3.1 million shortfall.
