Ars Musica Chorale Presents Gary Thor Wedow Master Class

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. - April 4, 2019 - PRLog -- Conductor Gary Thor Wedow will coach a Master Class for Ars Musica Chorale's Encore Young Artists on Wednesday, May 8th at Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ, from 7:00-10:00 pm. Come enjoy an intimate performance of beautiful opera arias sung by our soloists.

The Master Class is open for attendance by all. We encourage avocational choir members, aspiring student singers, and music lovers to attend and enjoy a peek behind the curtain at some of NY and NJ's most talented musicians. So bring your friends! Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.arsmusica.org/tickets. Adults are $25, seniors and special needs are $20, and students with ID, $10.

Conductor Gary Thor Wedow has established an enviable reputation for dramatically exciting and historically informed performances with opera companies, orchestras, festivals, and choral organizations throughout North America. Opera News has hailed him for his "hot music making" and "convincingly elegant period style." His debut with the New York Philharmonic conducting Messiah was noted in the New York Times for 'a fleet, lithe orchestral performance, aptly complemented by the buoyant singing of the chorus.' He has been a member of the Juilliard School faculty since 1994 where he has led performances of L'incoronazione di Poppea, La finta giardiniera, Ariodante and Don Giovanni.

Established in 1965, Ars Musica Chorale is one of the oldest and finest choral groups in Bergen County, well-known for presenting outstanding and unique programs. Under the direction of Music Director James Kennerley, Ars Musica Chorale performs four major concerts annually in Bergen County. They have also performed in Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Finland and Russia.
