Dr. Sandra L. Weber Elected AACE President

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - May 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Sandra L. Weber, MD, FACP, was elected President of the American Association of Endocrinologists (AACE) at AACE 2019, its 28th Annual Scientific & Clinical Congress in Los Angeles this month. As President, Dr. Weber will lead AACE's Board of Directors for the 2019-2020 term. She served as AACE President-Elect from 2018-2019.

Dr. Weber earned her medical degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. While in medical school, she received two student research awards from the American Diabetes Association. She completed her internship, residency, chief residency and fellowship at the University of Miami.

Dr. Weber practices endocrinology in Greenville, South Carolina and has been a member of AACE since 1994. She is one of the founding faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, where she works in the residency teaching program. Dr. Weber is Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Chair of Continuing Medical Education at Greenville Health System, University Medical Group, and she remains active in clinical research.

Dr. Weber has served as Chair of the 24th Annual AACE Scientific & Clinical Congress Program Committee, the ACE Funding Development Committee, Chapters Committee, Legislative and Regulatory Committee and Bylaws Committee.
