Former City Council Candidate Spearheads Empowerment Men's Conference

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Nahshon Nicks remains a constant community pilar, continuing to advocate for the low income communities in Jacksonville. It's because of this, Nicks has partnered with the First Coast Leadership Foundation to produce a free conference focused on connecting, empowering, educating and providing resources for boys and men in Duval County.

The conference will feature roundtable workshops on credit, character, community development, leadership, health, business development, urban enhancement, building social equity and s.t.e.a.m. Hosted by Gabe Roziers of Black Man Walking Inc., the table workshops will be led by an impactful group of local entrepreneurs, educators, business men and more. The presenters will include Jesus Garay of Global Freight and Commerce, LLC; Reginald Blount of Benjamin Research Policy Group; Commander Willie J. Brown, retired U S Navy; Carlos Williams of Core Global Training; Dr. Rudy F. Jamison of UNF | Center for Urban Education and Policy; Dr. Andrew Gordon of Edward Waters College; and Pastor Reginald Gundy of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.

The Empowerment Men's Conference is sponsored by Anum Law, Duval Bailbonds and Global Freight and Commerce, LLC. The conference will take place on June 29th, 2019 at the Bradham Brooks Library, located at 1755 Edgewood Avenue West Jacksonville, Florida 32208 from 11 am to 2 pm.
