By: Ashiana Indian Restaurant Speaking from the centre of Birmingham, where the glittering awards ceremony took place, owner of the Ashiana Indian Restaurant, Saiqul Miah said: "We knew we were in a very tough category and up against the best restaurants in the East Midlands, so we were stunned when our name was called out as the Regional Winner. "Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Delighting them is our sole purpose when we open the doors every evening and we are so grateful for their continuing support. Sai continues: "My Head Chef, Shimul Ahmed, his kitchen brigade and the front-of house team all work so hard to deliver an authentic and contemporary Indian dining experience seven days a week, using only the freshest, high quality ingredients. "This award wouldn't be possible without their dedication and hard work, combined with the patronage of our wonderful customers. Today, we really do feel like the Kings of Curry." Sai finished: "It's great honour to be recognised and I would like to thank my team for their hard work and our customers who've inspired us to keep improving and experimenting. "Regulars at the restaurant are often used to test out new dishes with their opinion helping fine-tune new creations."
