Follow on Google News | Kalari Kids - A Mix of Culture, Adventure & LessonsWe're sure you are. Now hurry up, go catch Kalari Kids on Pogo, The Best Tv Channel For Kids, Mon-Fri @ 5:00pm!
By: POGO TV The show combines Indian cultural values with new-age pranks, mischiefs and fun! The same combination can also be seen with the characters as well. Beenu is very traditional and on the other hand, his best friend, Shyam is very modern and stylish. Even the Kalari theme song is a mix of Indian classical music and modern catchy tunes. Kalari Kids live in the village of Kalaripuram which is surrounded by a magical jungle. They learn the ancient martial art form – Kalaripayattu – with an ultimate goal to channelize jungle's magical powers. There are two gurukuls in the village, one is led by Guru Palan and one by Guru Veta. After their training sessions, they love to hang out, play pranks on each other and enjoy their life to the fullest. Guru Palan's way of training varies greatly from that of Guru Veta's. He trains his students with love and compassion as his primary goal is to make his students kind and disciplined. Guru Veta's training sessions, on the contrary, are strict and rigid. Guru Veta's students Raaka, Mani, Lekha, Langot and Dhaana see their competition with Guru Palan's students Beenu, Meena, Shyam, Unni and Ami. It is because of the difference in training styles. Hopes of Guru Palan is high from Beenu that someday he will master the art of Kalaripayattu. Beenu is very creative, strong and witty but he also has some negative qualities which doesn't let him reach his ultimate goal like overconfidence, stubbornness and impatience. His best friend is Shyam. He is also intelligent but lacks the seriousness and loves to play games on his phone. They are friends but they also see each other as competition when Lekha is around as they both want her attention. Raaka who is Beenu's real competition, is a very skilled martial artist. He bullies and gets most of his work done by his friends. He always looks for an opportunity to demean Beenu.
