Local Notions San Pedro Artists Opening Reception October 19th 12 - 4pm

SAN PEDRO, Calif. - Sept. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- www.angelsgateart.orgAngels Gate Cultural Center will be putting a spotlight on our own community artists with a new art exhibition Local Notions featuring San Pedro based artists. As we continue to support our growing arts family in San Pedro, Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) will showcase the best of our community, including Angels Gate Artists and artists across town.

In late August AGCC released a call for art entries by artists who live or work in San Pedro. Submissions were juried by a team led by Kristina Newhouse, a San Pedro resident and curator of the Kleefeld Contemporary at California State University at Long Beach. We received a large amount of high caliber entries, making the jurying process extremely difficult. Ultimately, the works of 56 San Pedro artists, in various mediums, were selected to be showcased in this exhibition.

Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, October 19^th from 12 to 4pm.

Many of the pieces featured in this exhibition will be available for sale during Angels Gate Cultural Center's Open Studios Day on December 7^th from 12 to 4pm.

The exhibition runs from October 12^th through December 14^th, 2019.

Angels Gate Cultural Center galleries are open Monday through Saturday 10am to 4pm.
