As more builders and developers go green, Certifying Agents evaluate homes based on the "Florida Green" Home Designation Standard. It's also a personal endeavor for industry professionals who want to validate their understanding of green building and increase their marketability – as the popularity of going green in Florida increases. "This is an opportunity for professionals in the residential construction industry to add the CA designation to their resume as well as put their skills to work and definitely a plus for people looking to do work in Florida's emerging green home market," noted FGBC Executive Director C.J. Davila. The two-day training on green building techniques give CA's the ability to evaluate a home with respect to the criteria contained in the FGBC residential standard.
