PRLog -- Jamie Zahlaway Belsito, Congressional candidate for the 6h district attended the 2020 City of Amesbury inauguration and witnessed the first elected female Mayor. The Amesbury native Kassandra Gove is also the youngest elected Mayor. The former Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce beat the incumbent Mayor Ken Gray who was seeking his fourth term. In her inaugural speech, Mayor Gove spoke about growing up in two places: Amesbury and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. She described kindness as part of the values she learned from both her native city and the television show. Belsito, the only female candidate running for the 6th Congressional seat was moved by the history she was witnessing, "I am inspired by Mayor Kassandra Gove who is the first elected female native of Amesbury and the youngest elected Mayor. What a win for her and her beloved town. Congratulations Amesbury and it's newly elected officials."
