Dr. Sack, who speaks nationally and internationally on resilience, health and energy policy, will address climate change affecting local businesses. Dr. Sack served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco; has practiced gastroenterology in Jacksonville for 31 years; and now works with "We Care at Borland-Groover" He has chaired the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board; served on JEA's Clean Power Advisory Group; and was twice appointed by Senator Marco Rubio to the Florida Energy Commission. He is a leader in the Duval County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association, American Medical Association, and the World Medical Association. He manages MyGreenDoctor.org, a free environmental sustainability program for healthcare offices, reaching over 60,000 U.S. physicians monthly. "Dr. Sack is the first of many informative speakers scheduled throughout the year for the Eggs & Issues speakers series presented by NEFSC," reported CEO Catherine Sutton. "It is our intention to bring programs that will be helpful and informative to our Safety Council members, members of the business community and the general public that affect our daily lives. The series will feature a selected speaker every third Tuesday of the month for 2020.
