Reports on Russian trade in goods with African countries in 2019

MOSCOW, Russian Federation - March 2, 2020 - PRLog -- Russian Foreign Trade has released the reports on Russia's foreign trade in goods with the countries of Africa in 2019.

The reports have been prepared by Russian Foreign Trade stuff based on the data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

A brief review of Russia's trade with African countries in 2019

The share of African countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) declined from 3.05% in 2018 to 2.52% in 2019.

The share of African countries in Russia's total exports declined from 4.02% in 2018 to 3.29% in 2019.

The share of African countries in Russia's total imports declined from 1.23% in 2018 to 1.18% in 2019.

The major trading partners of Russia in Africa in 2019:

- The top five Russia's trade partners in Africa in 2019 were Egypt (0.9371% of Russia's total foreign trade), Algeria (0.5092%), Morocco (0.1915%), South Africa (0.1662%), and Tunisia (0.0985%).
- The top five Russia's export markets in Africa in 2019 were Egypt (1.3638% of Russia's total exports), Algeria (0.8006%), Morocco (0.1809%), Tunisia (0.1219%), and Togo (0.0946%).
- The top five Russia's import suppliers from Africa in 2019 were South Africa (0.3392% of Russia's total imports), Morocco (0.2099%), Egypt (0.1972%), Cote d'Ivoire (0.0803%), and Tunisia (0.0579%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Africa in 2019 over 2018:

- The share of Algeria in Russia's total exports declined from 1.1986% in 2018 to 0.8006% in 2019.
