Kid participants will learn how to become a community advocate to create solidarity within their community through out-of-box solutions. "It is about being bold; it's about being innovative; it's about doing things a little differently out of the norm because we are in the situation that is no longer the norm," Councilwoman Mamie B.Johnson, Ward 3, Norfolk, VA. Unreasonable Kids and OpenNorfolk hope to inspire kids to become unreasonable thinkers to embrace the new norm. Unreasonable Kids inspire Little Superheroes, ages 6 - 9, to release their voice for good. The FREE two-part educational series on Saturdays (August 8, 15) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm is filled with brain-based learning activities and a creative design curriculum to help little kids develop their social entrepreneurial super-powers.
