Unreasonable Kids to Host First Event in Lexington, KY: "Pathways to STEM and Hockey"

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Feb. 19, 2024 - PRLog -- Unreasonable Kids, a Virginia-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young change-makers, proudly announces its first event in Lexington, Kentucky. Unreasonable Kids is thrilled to bring its mission of fostering diversity and inclusion to the heart of Kentucky by creating new programming, "Pathways to STEM and Hockey," for Glendover Elementary.

"Glendover Elementary is a wonderful first school to work with because of its diversity, which aligns perfectly with our mission of inclusivity and empowerment," says Ateba Whitaker, Founder of Unreasonable Kids. "By partnering with Glendover, we aim to celebrate the diverse backgrounds and cultures within the school community and provide equal opportunities for all children to explore STEM and sports."

Glendover Elementary boasts a student body comprised of 46.19% representing various minority groups and a global community consisting of students from 26 countries speaking 26 languages. Additionally, 31.84% of students are English as a Second Language (ESL) learners, 31.17% participate in Gifted and Talented (GT) programs, and 51.79% qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch.

Supported by dedicated volunteers, the event aims to provide an educational and enjoyable experience for 4th and 5th-grade students from Glendover Elementary. Unreasonable Kids is honored to host its first event in Lexington and looks forward to collaborating with the local community to make a meaningful impact.
