Western Rock Products Receives Safety Excellence Award

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Oct. 8, 2020 - PRLog -- The AGC of Utah is the leading professional association in Utah for the commercial construction industry. Each year they recognize companies that demonstrate a commitment to safe work environments.

According to the AGC, achievement of "Safety Excellence Awards" applicant's safety records are evaluated and compared to like size companies at the national level, utilizing information gathered and obtained by the Bureau of Labor and Statistical (BLS).

Companies are evaluated on the total man-hours, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) logs, Experience Modification Rating (EMOD), and workers compensation loss. These numbers are then measured against national averages. Companies are then awarded based on where it ranks on the national level.

Western Rock Products have 50 percent below the national level, qualifying it for the highest-ranking award, the Diamond Safety Excellence Award.
