CACFL Holds Events to Mark Human Trafficking Awareness Month

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - Jan. 21, 2021 - PRLog -- All month long, the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes will focus on human trafficking awareness and prevention.

Human trafficking happens all over the world, including the United States.

On January 11, CACFL staff members joined the national #WearBlueDay (https://www.dhs.gov/blue-campaign/wearblueday) campaign. Blue is internationally recognized as the color of human trafficking awareness.

Each of our Weekly Webinars this month will be about human trafficking-related topics, such as spotting the signs, what you should do if you suspect someone is being trafficked, and more.

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, we will host a free virtual Lunch & Learn, which is open to the public.

Jessica Levinson, a local survivor, will share her story from "in the life" and her recovery process. A question-and-answer session will follow her presentation.
