STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - May 14, 2021 - PRLog -- The Pandemic has certainly changed everyone's lives. At United Activities Unlimited we began fully remote programming in the Summer of 2020. Built on that success we were able to launch over 300 fully remote Youth Interns into businesses and organizations all over NYC. The historic program was a considerable success. We are now launching our Summer Youth Employment Program. I hope you would consider hosting an intern this summer.

UAU knows it is more important than ever to support our local businesses and for youth to have meaningful and productive experiences. United Activities Unlimited (UAU) is committed to achieving both through the 2021 Summer Youth Employment Program.

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides businesses with no-cost interns between the ages of 16 and 24 for up to six weeks from July 6, 2021-August 14, 2021. Participants can work in a variety of entry-level jobs in the nonprofit and private sectors. In addition, UAU prepares the participants for the workplace with workshops to continue education and social growth.

Our program allows for capable young interns to work remotely or in-person for organizations who could benefit from their assistance, at no cost to the business/organization. This city-funded initiative is designed to give New York City youth an opportunity to build skills that will help them grow and prosper in the future as well as provide businesses with the workforce support they need.

Given that we cannot predict the circumstances and restrictions related to in-person activity in the coming months, we are offering remote, in-person, and hybrid work opportunities for our youth. UAU is here to support your team in making the transition to hosting interns remotely. Do you need extra hands? UAU's got you!
