Now Enrolling for the 2021 Fall Term

Courses will continue virtually for the upcoming fall and winter terms

Detroit, MI - August 08, 2021: Ecumenical Theological Seminary (ETS), the only fully accredited protestant seminary located in the heart of downtown Detroit, is looking for students to enroll for the 2021 Fall term. Courses will continue virtually for the foreseeable future given the continued threats of COVID-19.  Available to anyone regardless of race, gender, creed, sexual orientation, or age, ETS courses are designed for individuals who are looking to develop the skills necessary for leadership in ministry.

"We are a unique convergence of students, staff, and faculty from a wide diversity of Christian communities, traditions, and contexts," said Dr. Kenneth E. Harris, president, and professor of Biblical Studies at ETS. "Our nation needs spiritual leaders who are well equipped to heal and guide those who have been impacted by the events of 2020 and unfortunately continue today."

With 40 years of ministerial education, ETS prides itself on preparing students to meet the challenges of ministry in the community. Its faculty and staff come from all walks of life and educational backgrounds. Their teaching methods focus on faith, culture, and current life experiences and challenges. ETS sets out to provide the best educational experience no matter the students' denominational background.

There are currently several degree programs to choose from including Master of Arts (Academic), Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry. Certificate and Continuing Education courses are also available.  For those who do not hold a bachelor's degree, the seminary offers an Urban Ministry Diploma (UMD) program.  Upon successful completion of the UMD program, students can advance to earn a Master's level degree and higher.
