Award Winning Clinician Returns to Gastonia

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sept. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Dr. Lee Boswell has returned to Gaston County, this time at ATR Physical Therapy and Wellness on New Hope Road. The 2019 "Best of Gaston" award recipient is excited to be back in Gaston County.

Lee started in rehabilitation as an athletic trainer in 2005 working for an orthopedic surgeon. He then went back to school at Appalachian State University where, while he taught anatomy and physiology labs earned his masters is strength and conditioning. Dr. Lee earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Winston Salem State.

"I treat my patients well and try to give them the very best treatment possible. If I have a family member that needed therapy, I would want them to see someone like myself. Not all therapy and therapists are the same. I would want the best, so I always give my best. If a patient doesn't get better, I don't want it to be because I didn't give or try everything possibly imaginable to try and help."

Dr. Lee specializes in sports performance, ACL rehab and working with rehabbing high performance, overhead athletes.

"I really enjoy doing CrossFit workouts, so as a CrossFit Athlete and Physical Therapist, I think I have a unique perspective that can help people in that population. Honestly, I think it's great for everyone to try, I was anti-crossfit for a long time but my old boss did it and I finally tried it. I was hooked. I tell people to try it for a month, you will fall in love."

Dr. Lee feels there are some common misconceptions with physical therapy, "You don't need a referral, it isn't just limited to people who have had surgery and you can choose whatever provider you like for treatment. I do my best to keep the patient to therapist ratio low so that I can give a high level  of attention to their care."
