By: Rotary Club of San Jose "On behalf of San Jose, I am thrilled to welcome back the Rotary Club's beloved fireworks show for this year's Independence Day," said City of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo. "As we gather for what will surely be a spectacular show, residents and neighbors of all ages will once again enjoy the kind of large-scale, community celebration of our country that our city deserves." The Rotary Fireworks Downtown Committee organizes the City of San Jose's annual signature fireworks display, while creating a model for sustainability. Entertainment, provided by San Jose Jazz, will start at 7pm with fireworks to follow at 9:30pm, lasting approximately 25 minutes. "We are excited to be able to deliver this amazing gift to our community," said Rotary Club President Steve Borkenhagen. "The perfect way to bring people together to celebrate, these fireworks are a long-standing San Jose tradition and one we hope will be enjoyed by everyone." Note: Dogs on leash are welcome. Public transportation is strongly encouraged as nearby streets will be closed.
