Teaching Anticommunism in America, Inc. (TACA) Recognized for Leading the Movement to Pass the Civic Education Curriculum Law in Florida

MIAMI - July 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Teaching Anticommunism in America, Inc. (TACA) and its founder, Dr. Benjamin DeYurre were recognized by the City of Miami and the Florida State Legislature for initiating the movement to teach anticommunism in Florida schools. Concurrently the TACA Board of Directors recognized State Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez, District 39, and Florida Education Commissioner Senator Manny Diaz, Jr. for their leadership and advocacy in passing the Civic Education Curriculum Law in Florida. City of Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo and Mayor Francis Suarez were also recognized for their leadership in the fight against communism and for being in favor of freedom for all oppressed countries.

City of Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo presented a City of Miami Proclamation to TACA and stated, "Teaching Anticommunism in America was created in Miami…thanks to the leadership and hard work of organizations like TACA, high school students will now be required to learn about communism in order to graduate."

"We appreciate the recognition that highlights the importance of our movement and the significance of the Civic Education Curriculum Law approved by the state legislature, making Florida the first state in the union to have such a law on the books. TACA is proud that the initiative they started three years ago finally resulted in the historic approval of the law by the Florida state legislature and going forward high school students will be required to learn the truth about communist ideology to graduate," declared Dr. Benjamin DeYurre, Founder and President, Teaching Anticommunism In America, Inc.

The award ceremony took place at the Miami City Hall on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with the public, supporters and press in attendance.
