RSI Names Sheena Prevette New Director of Regulatory & Industry Affairs

WASHINGTON - July 18, 2022 - PRLog -- The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) announced today the appointment of Sheena Prevette as its Director of Regulatory & Industry Affairs, effective July 11, 2022.

"I am thrilled to welcome Sheena to the RSI" said Patty Long, RSI President. "Sheena's technical knowledge as well as her experiences leading international innovation projects and developing collaborative partnerships will be a huge asset to the organization and the members that we serve."

Prevette joins RSI from Union Tank Car Company, where she will continue to serve as their Director of Scheduling Optimization. Her experiences include leading process design, managing technical and quality assurance program reviews, and overseeing regulatory certifications for facilities throughout North America. Prior to that, she supported the Association of American Railroads' regulatory committee responsible for maintaining quality program systems across the North American Railway Interchange, including regulatory specification management, facility auditing, and auditor certifications.

As Director of Regulatory & Industry Affairs, Prevette will work with RSI to develop technical and regulatory strategies related to quality, safety and operational issues of concern to RSI members and advocate for those positions. In addition, she will manage the work of the organization's project committees (https://www.rsiweb.org/committees/) including the American Rail Car Institute (ARCI) Committee, the Equipment Leasing Committee (ELC) and the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC).

"I'm excited to join RSI at such an important time for the railway industry," said Prevette. "RSI is the voice of the railroad supply chain and through its organizing efforts, directly influences regulatory policy outcomes to ensure the viability of suppliers, and I am eager to support that mission."
