Where the Cars Are the Stars - Firsts

KEMBLE, Ontario - Aug. 25, 2022 - PRLog -- On Sunday, September 18^th, the cars are the stars at the 8^th installment of the Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance presented by Porsche, taking to the stage and to the green at Cobble Beach Golf Resort Community. For the past seven years (pre-pandemic), over 100 classic and vintage automobiles have come to the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay to participate in the annual Concours d'Elegance at Cobble Beach Golf Resort Community. A tradition stemming from the 17^th century, when cars would parade through the parks of Paris, France, in what is now a competition of elegance (Concours d'Elegance) displaying antique and classic automobiles for both competition and celebration.

With 18 judged classes, each class will consist of either four or eight vehicles, hand selected by a committee of automotive experts who study each vehicle closely, paying attention to the finer details, right down to the correct bolts used for that car's time period. On Sunday, September 18, 2022, a panel of 48 judges take to the 18^th fairway at Cobble Beach Golf Resort Community and begin scoring each of these vehicles against others, in order to choose the best in that class. First, second and third place are awarded within each class, and each winner is eligible for one of either the Best of Show, or the Most Outstanding Pre or Post War awards.

75 Years of Ferrari
One of the most iconic sports car brands of the world, the legendary Italian automaker is celebrating its 75th anniversary. With an amazing record of stunning design, handcraft workmanship and a great history within motorsports, Ferrari is a name and a logo that is recognizable worldwide. This year's Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance honours this great heritage by showcasing some of Ferrari's most iconic sports cars from seven decades of manufacturing vehicles. From a beautiful and rare 330 America, a low-mileage and all-original BB512, and the all-new SF90 Stradale.

Rad Rides of the 1980s
The Eighties are an era of great nostalgia; in music, clothes, movies, and especially automobiles. The era of turbocharging, iconic poster supercars and new technology brought the automotive industry out of the malaise era of the 70s. This year, step back in time with some cars from your youth, including the iconic Buick Grand National, Porsche 930 Slant Nose and the radical European Renault R5 Turbo 2.

Rare Colour of Porsche
Throughout its history, Porsche has produced cars in obscure, wild and striking hues, unique against their competitors. But colour availability increased in the 1980s with the creation of the Porsche Exclusive division. Through Exclusive, customers are able to build custom Porsches, using both new and historic colours, and the popularity of the Exclusive Manufaktur has gone wild in recent years.
