PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized as one of the 2022 All in for Women Award recipients, presented by the Maricopa Chapter of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) for its extraordinary commitment to supporting the recruitment, retention and promotion of women attorneys. Terry Roman, a partner in Snell & Wilmer's Phoenix office, accepted the honor on behalf of the firm, presented by Justice Kathryn King. The award reception was held at the University Club of Phoenix on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The All in for Women Awards celebrate legal organizations that provide women attorneys with certain information and support in areas such as the promotion of women attorneys to Shareholder, Managing Partner, or other firm leadership positions, policies and procedures that encourage and foster women participation in firm management; recruitment and retention programs for women attorneys; mentorship and sponsorship programs; parental leave and family support programs; part-time and flexible schedules, and support of judicial applications and leadership applications for Boards. AWLA's mission is to promote and encourage the success of women lawyers by providing members with information and support, by fostering connections among women lawyers, and by monitoring and celebrating the successes of members and women lawyers at-large in our community. AWLA was formed over thirty years ago by the merging of groups of women from Maricopa and Pima Counties, who had been meeting informally for a number of years. Today, AWLA has four chapters: Maricopa, Southern Arizona, Northern Arizona and Western Arizona. There are over 1000 members statewide.
