Signature DreamWeek Event will benefit east side San Antonio students

SAN ANTONIO - Jan. 11, 2023 - PRLog -- "As we continue our mission of providing quality educational experiences for young people on San Antonio's Eastside, we would like to extend our gratitude to a community of leaders who've generously offered their support throughout our growth" says Akeem Brown, superintendent and CEO of Essence Prep.

Inspired by the power of education, this Signature DreamWeek Event aims to raise funds to support student programming as well as spotlight three special guests who have significantly contributed to improving the education landscape of San Antonio.

Award recipients, identified by the esteemed Board of Directors, are;

• Jamie Kowalski, Vice President of Corporate Relations, The RK Group
• Representative Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, Texas House of Representatives, District 120
• Francine Prosser-Johnson, Chief Operating Officer, South Texas Center for Pediatric Care

The evening will include a special gallery style installation from three prominent San Antonio artists, VIP Cocktail Hour, RISE Awards, dinner and dancing. Guests are invited to wear their swankiest gala attire; this black-tie event will feature a red carpet and plenty of Instagram- and Tik-Tok worthy moments.

ABOUT ESSENCE PREPARATORY PUBLIC SCHOOL

Essence Prep is a tuition-free public school on the Eastside of San Antonio that opened its doors in August 2022. Essence Prep will scale to kindergarten-8th grade and was created to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of Black and Brown children.
