CDI Announces Director and Director of Photography on 'Harsens Island Revenge'

LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- Currently, the Collective Development Inc. (CDI) WW2- German PW film, SILENT NIGHT IN ALGONA, is marching across the US theatrical landscape. The film is expanding as people are reaching out to their theatre management and requesting the film. The film offers a unique look at true events that unfolded in 1944, at one of the hundreds of PW camps once located across the Midwest. The film is a powerful and uplifting story that speaks into the positive attributes of humanity, while not ignoring the painful choices we've made in our past. This film has a draw to both the young and the old. The nostalgic factor of the time-period being likened to several Christmas classics, which surely have had an influence on screenplay writer DJ Perry.

CDI's producing of period-rich stories with fresh perspectives is helping to educate a new generation while keeping history from fading away. The next film from CDI, is the second DJ Perry, screenplay adaptation of author Karl Manke's work. The first was the adaptation of the book 'Hope from Heaven' into the film BEST YEARS GONE. (Now on Amazon, Tubi, Googleplay, itunes). In Fall of 2023, CDI, will bring the roaring 1920's to life with the adaptation of HARSENS ISLAND REVENGE, into a film of the same name. Filmmaker, Carl Weyant, has been announced as the director with the film with Travis Hayward, (Best Years Gone) serving as the director of photography. Casting and crewing is underway and the film plans to release late 2024.
