By: Meridian Waste WHAT/WHY: Meridian Waste Missouri is celebrating Earth Day at the Eagle Ridge Landfill by inviting neighbors, local schools, non-profits, and civic organizations to the company's environmental facility while sharing appreciation with the surrounding community. Activities will include Meridian Waste's signature Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees can touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in the environmental services industry. Other activities will include: ● Free BBQ lunch catered by Bandana's for all attendees ● Sweets provided by The Sugar Shack ● Inflatable bounce house ● Face painting ● Balloon twister ● Earth Day tattoos ● The Bubble Bus ● Field games ● Guided landfill tours ● Reusable Earth Day swag bags for the children For more information and to RSVP, visit the Facebook event page at https://forms.gle/ WHEN: Saturday, April 22, 2023 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. WHERE: Meridian Waste's Eagle Ridge Landfill 13100 Highway VV Bowling Green, MO 63334 EXTRA: Meridian Waste is also hosting its fourth annual "Brightening the World" coloring contest to help children to engage in the concept of caring for the planet and understanding how the environmental services and waste removal industry plays a significant role in the health and safety of communities served. The free activity is designed to help keep young people inspired and engaged in positive activities and show them how they can make a tangible impact on their community. The contest is open until Thursday, April 20. Winners will be announced on the website on Saturday, April 22. All children throughout the U.S. are eligible to win.
