Alten Construction returns to first project from 28 years ago with new building

ALAMEDA, Calif. - April 19, 2023 - PRLog -- Alten Construction (https://www.altenconstruction.com/), a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction company, recently returned to College of Alameda (https://alameda.edu/), the construction company's first project after it launched 28 years ago, to construct a new building for the campus.

The firm recently started work on a $30 million, 40,000-square-foot transportation technology facility that will host three department programs, including Auto Body and Paint, Automotive Technology and Diesel Mechanics.

In 1995, Alten Construction completed its very first project, a 23-bathroom renovation for the College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College, part of the Peralta Community College District.

Located at 555 Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway, the mission of College of Alameda is to serve the educational needs of its diverse community by providing comprehensive and flexible programs and resources that empower students to achieve their goals. The school serves over 6,000 unduplicated students every semester from the San Francisco Bay Area.
