Black-Car Companies Misappropriate Funds, Affecting over 300 Drivers: Class Action Lawsuit

Former livery cab drivers are in an ongoing suit against Elite Limousine Plus, Inc. and First Corporate Sedans, Inc. for their allegedly fraudulent use of funds.

NEW YORK - May 23, 2023 - PRLog -- Imbesi Law Group P.C. represents a class of over 300 black-car drivers in the ongoing suit Shahid Buttar et al. v. Elite Limousine Plus, Inc., et al., and First Corporate Sedans, Inc., et al.

Recently, the firm secured a significant victory for its clients when the First Department Appellate Division upheld the denial of Defendants' motion to vacate or modify an order denying discovery of tax documents associated with Plaintiffs' collateral employment. The Appellate Division confirmed Plaintiffs' position – that such documents are irrelevant to the Plaintiffs' claims.

Plaintiffs, former livery cab drivers of Defendants, maintain that the Defendants, Elite Limousine Plus, Inc., et al., and First Corporate Sedans, Inc., and the individual principals, violated their rights and negatively impacted the financials and livelihood of all respective Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs allege that First Corporate Sedans, Inc. was unable to fund its own obligations through illegal misappropriation of funds. This ongoing suit seeks damages against Defendants for their unlawful conduct.
