Ranked Choice Voting

Learn more about Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), a nonpartisan electoral reform that allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference rather than choosing just one. Supporters say RCV encourages voters to focus on issues and reduces negative campaigning and polarization. The State Legislature prohibited RCV last year, make Florida one of only two states to do so. Currently, Ranked Choice Voting is used worldwide and by 13 million U.S. voters. Special guest speaker is Vilia Johnson, director of Rank My Vote Florida and vice president of the League of Women Voters Sarasota.
