PRLog -- Bigpond email service has brought in service for Mac users by providing an application on the app store. Those users who don't want to access Bigpond from that method can easily connect their Bigpond emails to Mac Mail. The process for making changes to the account is given in the points below.
- Open Mac Mail and click on Mail > Preferences.
- Click on the "Accounts" tab and click on the "+" button at the bottom of the window to add a new account.
- Enter your full name, Bigpond email address, and email password.
- Click on "Continue."
- Select "IMAP" as the account type.
- Enter the following information:
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.telstra.com
- Username: Your full Bigpond email address
- Password: Your Bigpond email password
- Click on "Continue."
- Enter the following information for the outgoing mail server:
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.telstra.com
- Check the box for "Use Authentication"
- Username: Your full Bigpond email address
- Password: Your Bigpond email password
- Click on "Continue."
- Review the account information and click on "Create."
- Your Bigpond email account is now set up in Mac Mail.
