Harrisburg (PA) native June Brown to return to hometown, present at PCARs 2023 state conference

HARRISBURG, Pa. - June 20, 2023 - PRLog -- Former Harrisburg resident June Brown will present at Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape's (PCAR) 2023 state conference on the topic, "Using Motivational Interviewing to Bounce Back Stronger!" The conference will be held in July 2023 in Hershey, PA.

Motivational interviewing is a technique utilized by counselors and therapists to encourage behavioral change in their patients or clients. When performed effectively, it can lead to a positive result. June Brown has conducted several sessions and has seen the benefits of the technique, which is still relatively new to some professionals.

"I am thrilled to instruct my peers on this process at PCAR's 2023 state conference in July," she says. "PCAR is a noted organization which does great work, benefitting the women, men and children of Pennsylvania. I am honored to be among those presenting this year."

In addition to the July conference, Brown will also present an online course in June 2023 titled, "A Manager's New Role: Providing Emotional Support," which will highlight three objectives, including:

• Improving working relationships through emotional intelligence techniques;
• Building a culture that embraces work/life balance; and,
• Demonstrating a pattern of treating others with emotional wellness as a goal.

About June Brown: A lead trainer and consultant, Brown has experience in the mental health field, as well as leadership roles at various non-profit agencies and corporate settings. Her workshops are tailored to each setting, taking into account her audience and the goals desired. June has conducted Leadership Development workshops to educate Managers on taking the lead when advocating for others. She currently resides in Venice, FL.
