March of Dimes Announces Finalists for 23rd Annual Heroines of Washington Awards

ARLINGTON, Va. - Aug. 23, 2023 - PRLog -- Today, March of Dimes (https://www.marchofdimes.org/index.aspx) announced the finalists for its 23^rd Annual Heroines of Washington Awards, (https://www.marchofdimes.org/events/Event.aspx?eventId=22353&amp) which recognize and honor women in the D.C. Metro Area for their dedication to community service. To celebrate the finalists and announce the award recipients, the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards Gala, presented by ASRC Federal, will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner.

At the gala, there will be a dinner and silent auction and expected guests will include leaders from local organizations, businesses, and government institutions. This year's gala sponsors are ASRC Federal, ManTech, PwC, MITRE, M&T Bank, Carahsoft, KPMG, Guidehouse, GDIT & iHeartRadio.

This year's Corporate Heroine Award winner, Amy Gilliland, was named earlier this summer for her work with the Rett Syndrome Research Trust and at General Dynamics Information Technology and will be recognized at the gala.

Since 2001, the Heroines of Washington Awards have raised over $4.4million and honored 143 Heroines. All proceeds from the awards fund March of Dimes programs, research, community services, education, and advocacy to support the March of Dimes mission —the health and wellness of all moms and babies.
