By: Meridian Waste WHAT/WHY: Meridian Waste North Carolina is welcoming the community to Shotwell Environmental Park to the annual charity pumpkin patch complete with a free BBQ lunch, pumpkin activities and fun. "October marks official pumpkin season, and we want to get the word out early that Meridian Waste's Shotwell Environmental Park has some of the best pumpkin picking available," said Area President Patrick Messinger. "Our pumpkins are free, and we simply ask for a donation that the company will match to give to local charities. Plus, we have so much more than pumpkins. We have inflatable rides, hayride tours, pumpkin and face painting, and yard games. The fun factor is huge," said Messinger. Activities will include Meridian Waste's signature Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees can touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in the environmental services industry.
