Wrights Plastics complete solar panel installation project

WEST BROMWICH, U.K. - Sept. 20, 2023 - PRLog -- he panels now cover around 90% of the roof space at the 46,000sq feet factory. The panels are now generating a "significant" amount of renewable carbon-free energy that will reduce the organisation's non-renewable energy-use and further lower their impact on the environment.

Managing Direct Mike Wright said "There has been a major transformation on the roof but a significant business transformation also. With the completion of the installation of the solar panels we have taken a major step forward on our sustainability journey."

Steps taken on their sustainability journey to date include:

• Investing £m in state-of-the-art machinery that minimises energy use and material waste;
• Using recycled material wherever possible, including components for Jaguar Land Rover;
• Improving waste segregation resulting in significantly more plastics sent for recycling
• Installing an energy-efficient lighting system at their HQ that reduced C02 emissions by 17 tonnes a year
