Blue Heart Records signs Rick VitoEleventh solo album planned for March 2024 worldwide release
A native of suburban Philadelphia, PA, Vito currently resides near Nashville, TN, where his future album was recorded. Eleven original songs including his performance of his W.C. Handy Award-winning composition, "It's 2 AM" (Shemekia Copeland, Song of the Year, 2001), are planned for the March 2024 album release. Meanwhile, another original, "I Was a Bad Boy This Year," is being released as performed by him for the first time as part of the Blue Heart Records' holiday compilation, Jingle All the Way, out October 20, 2023. "It is truly an honor to work with an accomplished artist of Rick Vito's distinction," "I'm very happy to tell you that on October 13 (also my birthday), I had the great fortune to sign with the incredible Blue Heart Records team of Sallie Bengtson and Betsie Brown," says Vito. "Our first release together features my song, 'I Was a Bad Boy This Year,' on the Christmas compilation, Jingle All The Way, which also showcases a host of their fine artists. 2024 promises to be a really exciting year with the release of my first solo recording in five years entitled, Cadillac Man."
