MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Feb. 22, 2024 - PRLog -- Two-time Blues Music Award winner Anthony Geraci returns with his sophomore release on Blue Heart Records, an inspired collection of eleven originals expressing his musical versatility and mastery. Special guest appearances by violinist Anne Harris an Sugar Ray Norcia augment the excellent musicianship of Geraci's band, the three-time Blues Music Award nominated Boston Blues All-Stars. Seven tunes emerged from a single day of recording at Studio Faust Records in Prague, Czech Republic, in the midst of a five week European Tour. The remaining four tunes rounding out the album were recorded in February 2023 at Wellspring Sound Studio in Acton, Massachusetts.

A native of New Haven, CT, Geraci witnessed the live performances of blues greats including B.B. King, Muddy Waters and Jimmy Rogers, providing a world class blues education at an early age that would later come full circle when he had the opportunity to perform with them, and many other blues icons. Geraci graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a B.A. and holds an M.A. from Skidmore College. An original member of Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, and Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, Geraci has recorded extensively with both groups in addition to a host of iconic traditional blues artists and leading contemporary acts. He received a 2000 GRAMMY® nomination as one of the studio musicians on Super Harps I (Telarc Blues) featuring Charlie Musselwhite, James Cotton, Billy Branch and Sugar Ray Norcia.

"The cover art for this project is reflective of Anthony's music itself, with its rich textures, tones and feeling," says Sallie Bengtson, Blue Heart Records partner. "We are so pleased to include Tears in My Eyes in our catalog."

"I'm proud to release my latest recording, Tears in My Eyes, on The Blue Heart Records label," says Geraci. "It is an honor to have Walter Trout provide the liner notes. I look forward to sharing this new music worldwide, both via recording and especially in live performances."

Geraci and The Boston Blues All-Stars "Boston-Florida March Tour" begins March 7 at St. Georges Country Store in Delaware and concludes on March 17 at Heidi's Jazz Club in Cocoa Beach, FL.  Four album release shows in New England are scheduled beginning April 19.
