Follow on Google News | Travel Candidates Rise, But Vacancies Dip In SeptC&M Travel Recruitment's Activity Index – September 2023
The number of new candidates searching for jobs in the travel industry rose in September, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment. The month saw a three per cent rise in new jobseekers from August, while compared to previous years, last month's total was down by 12 per cent from September 2022, up by four per cent from 2021 and down by 18 per cent from September 2019. Slower month for travel activity Less positively, there was a fall in placements during the month, with the number of candidates finding new travel roles dipping by 13 per cent from August to its lowest level of the year. The figure was also down by 59 per cent from September 2022. Similarly, the number of new travel jobs being made available dipped back to its lowest point in five months. With a 45 per cent fall from August, September's total was also down by 53 per cent from the same month last year.
