 Savannah Philharmonic's Presentation of The Beatles' Classical Mystery Tour Concert Garners Sold-Out Crowd
Cmt Jim Owen Sgt P The four musicians in Classical Mystery Tour look and sound just like The Beatles, but Classical Mystery Tour is more than just a rock concert as the show presents more than two dozen Beatles tunes performed exactly as they were originally recorded, together with the SavPhil orchestra. "We really make an effort to sound exactly like the originals," explains Jim Owen, the founder of Classical Mystery Tour who has portrayed John Lennon in the show. "The orchestra score is exact, right down to every note and instrument that was on the original recording. The Beatles released 'Abbey Road' a year after the 'White Album' and two years after 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,' all of which were revolutionary. We'll be performing 'Abbey Road' songs and others that sound spectacular with a live orchestra." Led by Music and Artistic Director Keitaro Harada, concertgoers will enjoy a symphonic fusion of The Beatles' timeless melodies, blended seamlessly with the rich sounds of the Savannah Philharmonic.
