Follow on Google News | Romanza Collage celebrates composers of African American descent on February 3"Classically Black" a concert and talk with Richard Alston will celebrate Black History Month in February. Romanza's Collage Series is a prelude to the 2024 Romanza Festivale in May.
By: Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts African American classical music will be performed by Alston, a masterful pianist and recitalist during his show, Classically Black: Piano Compositions by Composers of African-American Descent. The event will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine. Alston's credits include recitals to guest soloist with orchestras, along with live opera, and recordings. He is a sought-after instructor in the northeastern U.S. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at http://www.romanzacollage.com. From Tuesday, May 3 until Sunday, May 19, the Romanza Festivale is a collaboration between dozens of arts organizations, artists, musicians, and businesses in St. Augustine that includes numerous events, daily concerts, plays, dance showcases, art exhibits, opera, wine events, and more. Romanza Festivale is the only event in the region which features all the arts. All events are open to the public. Most are free of charge.
