Sharon Alexander Elected as Chair of the Board of Directors of the MLTSS Association

WASHINGTON - Feb. 22, 2024 - PRLog -- The National MLTSS Health Plan Association ("MLTSS Association") is pleased to announce the election of a founding member of the Association and longtime Board member Sharon Alexander as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. In this role, Ms. Alexander will bring her extensive experience and leadership to guide the Association as it continues to promote quality managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) and integrated care.

Ms. Alexander is President of Long-Term Services and Supports Solutions for AmeriHealth Caritas, with a distinguished career spanning over 35 years in healthcare and long-term care management. She has been a driving force in spearheading innovative solutions, advancing best practices, and leading market growth efforts for AmeriHealth's multi-state LTSS business portfolio.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Alexander managed a diverse range of Medicare Advantage products, including D-SNP, I-SNP, MMP, and PPO products for several managed care organizations. She has also served as the Secretary of Aging for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, advocating for the health, economic, and social needs of millions of older individuals and their caregivers.

In addition to her new position as Chair of the Board of Directors for the MLTSS Association, Ms. Alexander is actively involved with other organizations such as the Long-Term Quality Alliance (LTQA), SNP Alliance, and the MLTSS Institute of Advancing States.

Ms. Alexander stated that she is "honored and excited to assume the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for the MLTSS Association.
