"Third Thursdays" jazz series: w/out-of-town guests G. C. Weston, J. Tacuma, K. Wessel, C. Bowman

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - March 11, 2024 - PRLog -- Improvising keyboardist Dave Bryant (https://dbryantmusic.com/) has announced the following monthly harmolodic jazz concerts, which will cover the months of March through June. Bryant's "Third Thursdays" (https://dbryantmusic.com/third-thursdays/) series has been extended for another 12 months, from April 2024 through March 2025, starting with the following lineup of concerts, which he will host and perform in.

-- March 21: The March 21st concert was recently announced, with special out-of-town guest G. Calvin Weston (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Calvin_Weston) (drums), performing with Bryant, J Johnson (https://www.facebook.com/sendai77) (guitar), and Rick McLaughlin (https://www.rickmclaughlin.com/) (bass). Bryant, Johnson, and McLaughlin are bandmates in the Boston area's "Listen To This" (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100086522703980), an electric Miles Davis tribute band. Bryant noted: "It should be lots of fun to take the wonderful jam band rapport I've developed with J and Rick in the "Listen To This" electric Miles Davis tribute project and combine it with the intensity and love for that period that Calvin brings to his performances. Bring your lava lamps!"

-- April 18: Piano Summit featuring five renowned local jazz pianists: Bryant, Pandelis Karayorgis, Steve Lantner, Tatiana Castro Mejia, and Eric Zinman, each offering an improvisation on acoustic piano.

-- May 16:  "Wire and Bone" CD release concert. This "Third Thursdays" concert will include Bryant, Jamaaladeen Tacuma (bass), George Garzone (tenor saxophone), Kenny Wessel (guitar), Eric Hofbauer (guitar), and Chris Bowman (drums).

-- June 20:  "Listen To This", the electric Miles Davis tribute band, returns to "Third Thursdays" with Jerome Deupree (drums), Russ Gershon (woodwinds and keyboards), Bryan Murphy (trumpet), Todd Brunel (bass clarinet), Dave Bryant (keyboards), J Johnson (guitar), Rick McLaughlin (bass), and Rick Barry (percussion).
