ILIA Explores Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant

BALTIMORE - March 25, 2024 - PRLog -- Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of a transformative visit to the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant by four students participating in the EmpoweReer HoCo program. This initiative, aimed at nurturing leadership skills and environmental stewardship among high school students, provided an unparalleled opportunity for hands-on learning and community engagement.

The EmpoweReer HoCo program, a flagship initiative of ILIA, focuses on empowering youth in Howard County, Maryland, to become compassionate and effective leaders. These engaging and interactive learning experiences, offered both in person and online, are designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in today's dynamic world.

During their visit to the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant, the students had the chance to explore the inner workings of the facility, gaining invaluable insights into water reclamation and environmental sustainability. Guided by knowledgeable staff, they witnessed firsthand the importance of preserving our natural resources and the role of innovative technologies in wastewater treatment.
