Earley Endorses Parental Rights Education LegislationBRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - April 4, 2024 - PRLog -- Today Veteran and Republican Congressional candidate in West Virginia's 2nd District, Joe Earley pledged to co-sponsor legislation to defend parental rights in education.
"As a father and grandfather, I am firm believer in providing a quality education to every child. For many, it is their pathway out of poverty. Parents are a key component for a child's educational success. Hence, it is vital that parents should have a voice in the education of their children. I cannot believe in the United States of America that this legislation is necessary, but it has come to that point with the woke culture in our school systems," said Earley. "The Biden administration's attempt to classify engaged parents as 'domestic terrorists' is not only wrong, but it is another step towards socialism. Parents beliefs should not be superseded by the wokeness culture. Children are not the property of the school system or our government." Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has filed legislation to defend parent's rights in their children's education. The legislation will guarantee parents a seat at the table on education decisions and keep them informed of the curriculum. They will know what their tax dollars are funding and be able to speak at school board meetings without fear of reprisal. Moreover, parents will be able to check on their kids at school, access their child's school data and be informed on how any third-party groups use their personal data. "This legislation has teeth. Parents will be able to sue to enforce their rights. If schools don't cooperate, federal funding could be suspended," said Earley. "Schools are for education not indoctrination. We need to protect and educate the next generation," Earley commits to supporting Senator Ted Cruz's bill to stop the teaching of critical race theory. He strongly believes that CRT only furthers the racial divide in our nation. Earley will work for unity in protecting our children and preserving parental rights. Veteran Joe Earley for Congress End
