Earley Opposes Ukraine FundingVeteran and WV02 Congressional Candidate Joe Earley challenges Riley Moore to state his position on Ukraine funding
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - April 26, 2024 - PRLog -- Today Veteran and Republican Congressional candidate in West Virginia's 2nd District, Joe Earley announced that he has been and will remain opposed to sending our tax dollars to Ukraine. Earley strongly believes that money should go to build the wall on our southern border. He is also challenging his opponent to state his position.
"As a 20 year veteran of the United States Army, I know about war and sacrifice. For our country, this should not become our war with Russia. It is not worth the tax dollars or any American lives. As the next Congressman, I will adamantly oppose any Ukraine funding. I will not sell out West Virginians as Speaker Mike Johnson has," said Earley. "Where does Riley Moore stand on this? Is he for the funding or is he against it? I believe that voters have a right to know. I am asking for Mr. Moore to make a public statement." Both the House and Senate passed an additional $60 billion to fund the Ukraine war. Republicans including Speaker Mike Johnson joined with Democrats to help pass it. No money was allocated for building the wall on the southern border. "Our tax dollars should not be shipped overseas especially when our nation is $34 trillion in debt. We should either stop incurring more debt or build the wall to stop the invasion. I am committed to protecting our interests not the interests of foreign governments." "Where is Moore on this issue?" asked Earley. "There should be transparency in this race. Let the voters decide on the issues not who can raise the most money from the insiders."
