News: Summer In Salzburgerland 2024

SALZBURGERLAND, Austria - April 30, 2024 - PRLog -- SalzburgerLand (www.salzburgerLand.com) in Austria launches its traditional Almsommer the weekend before summer solstice, 14-15 June.

New for 2024 is the SalzburgerLand Gravel Tour launching May. The tour rolls freedom, nature and on- and off-road biking fun into one with breathtaking Alpine scenery at every turn. Two route options (hard – 650km/12700vm; gentle 460km/6700vm) start and finish in Salzburg and are uploaded on Komoot.com, the online route planner, for users to tailor their own excursion. Hikers can also use Komoot drawing on The Salzburg Almenweg (350km, 25 stages across 120 Alpine pastures of the Pongau region). Hiking or biking, spellbinging mountain views are a guarantee.

Salzburg City's Sommerszene Salzburg (4-16 June) presents avant garde theatre and dance as a pre-cursor to the famous Salzburg Festival (19 July-31 August) and on 21 June DomQuartier Museum celebrates its 10^th anniversary with the launch of an exhibtion of Venetian masters.

In the Salzkammergut (Austria's lake district, half an hour from the city) Wolfgangsee opens a new lake stage on 23 May and in Fuschlsee the 5* Rosewood Schloss Fuschl reopens in July.

Gastein holds the 10^th Breathe the Mountains (24 May-2 June) yoga festival, the Adidas Terrex Infinite Trails running weekend (6-8 September) and will run the traditional sheep drive on 14 September.

Saalfelden Leogang has created a new 'forest-bathing' hiking trail, has been designated a UCI Bike region, hosts the WHOOP UCI  Mountain Bike World Series in June and welcomes the return of Jazzfestival Saalfelden in August.
