Acrylic - also known as plexiglass - is a strong plastic that has a wide variety of benefits and uses. Available in all sorts of shapes and sizes, the material is known for its strength and durability and is also available in a wide selection of colors. What are the differences between acrylic and glass awards?
As acrylic is shatter resistant and flexible, it is much stronger than glass and therefore far more unlikely to break. Glass on the other hand is extremely delicate so is not a durable material to use when creating awards and even has the potential to be dangerous if broken. The transparent properties of acrylic still enable awards to look like glass - and we apply diamond polishing to our designs to enhance this aesthetic.
