Friends in Solidarity Hosts Webinar on South Sudan: Travel Stories and Reflections

SILVER SPRING, Md. - Sept. 15, 2024 - PRLog -- Friends in Solidarity (FiS) is excited to announce a special webinar titled "Immersed in South Sudan: Travel Stories and Reflections," set to take place on October 8, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST. This online event will feature firsthand accounts of the humanitarian efforts being led by FiS to support and uplift communities in South Sudan, one of the world's most vulnerable regions.

Sister Mumbi Kigũtha, CPPS, President of Friends in Solidarity, will share her unique perspective on the critical mission work FiS is doing to provide education, healthcare, and peacebuilding initiatives in South Sudan. Joining her will be Mary Ngũgĩ, Assistant Administrative Officer, who will provide additional insights into the transformative impact of FiS's work on the ground.

Friends in Solidarity is committed to fostering hope and resilience by working directly with local communities to address urgent needs. Their efforts include providing educational resources for children, vocational training for adults, and healthcare services in regions affected by conflict. FiS also promotes peacebuilding through pastoral care and community-led reconciliation programs.
